Comfort Room at
Eternal Tides

At Eternal Tides, we understand how difficult it can be to say goodbye to a beloved pet. We’ve created an on-site Comfort Room—a serene, neutral space where you and your veterinarian can meet when in-home euthanasia isn’t an option or when a clinic setting feels too impersonal. Our comfort room is now available and we’re continuing to improve the space. The 250-square-foot room is being designed for your pet’s comfort and your peace of mind.

A cozy living room with patterned carpet and beige rug, containing two armchairs with patterned cushions, a small round table with a blue cloth, a lamp, and a framed picture on the wall. There are also decorative items like a potted orchid and a blanket on one of the chairs.

Our Comfort Room offers a tranquil environment, free from the stressors that can often accompany veterinary visits. Our intention is for the space to provide a private and peaceful setting for those final moments with your best friend, allowing you and your family to focus on what matters most—your pet. The space is thoughtfully designed to be calming and welcoming, with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and gentle décor that reflects the care and compassion we believe every pet deserves.

To the left, a small round table draped with a black and gray patterned cloth holds a potted yellow orchid. To the right, there is a large metal dog cage near a window with blue curtains and white sheer curtains.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to every corner of our facility, including the Comfort Room. Designed as a peaceful, welcoming space for pet owners to say their final goodbyes, the comfort room reflects our dedication to environmentally-conscious choices. The furniture and décor have been thoughtfully curated from second-hand materials, carefully cleaned and restored to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. We’ve even repurposed the wood from the delivery crate of our aquamation machine to construct the separating wall between the Comfort Room and the Memorial Space—a meaningful touch that ties our commitment to sustainability into the very foundation of our facility. By prioritizing repurposed and reclaimed materials, we aim to honor not only the lives of beloved pets but also the planet they called home.

We know that for many pet owners, the experience of saying goodbye in a clinical setting can be deeply traumatic, leading to an emotional association with the clinic that may result in them seeking care elsewhere in the future. By offering the Comfort Room as an alternative, veterinarians can provide their clients with a compassionate, neutral space that helps preserve the trust and relationships built over the years. This option not only supports pet owners during a difficult time but also strengthens the bond between them and their veterinary practice.
